All of our classrooms are equipped with Smartboard Interactive Whiteboards and digital projectors, which connect classroom learning to Internet sites that keep the curriculum fresh, topically relevant and engaging to our students.
Out of the classroom, Roselle students have access to three fully equipped computer labs, including the state-of-the-art John Korn Computer Center as well as a cutting-edge Publication Center.
Computer access enhances research, learning and personal exploration in our library and aids in S.A.T. prep and college and career counseling in our Guidance Department.
Founders Scholars Program
The Founders Program is an accelerated program of studies designed to enable highly-motivated
and qualified students to excel in academics. It also includes enrichment opportunities
and extra-curricular activities so that participants fully experience the academic
and spiritual benefits of a Roselle Catholic education. Freshmen who are top scorers
on the Archdiocesan Entrance Exam (COOP) and who receive recommendations from their
previous schools are eligible to join the program.
The program will provide students the opportunity to graduate from Roselle Catholic
with a minimum of 24 Advanced Placement dual-enrollment college credits. The combination
of Scholars Program curriculum, enrichment experiences and extra-curricular activities
is designed to prepare students to be among the top candidates for admission into
major colleges and universities.
Seton Hall University Project Acceleration
Seton Hall University Project Acceleration gives our students the chance to earn credits from Seton Hall University for approved courses taken at Roselle Catholic at a greatly reduced tuition rate.
The college credits earned through Project Acceleration are accepted at more than 200 colleges and universities. For a current list of colleges accepting Project Acceleration credits, please visit their Web site at:
http://www.shu.edu/academics/artsci/project-acceleration/index.cfm
Project Acceleration courses are open to RC students in good academic standing who are capable of performing Advanced Placement or Honors coursework.
Roselle Catholic students enrolled in the program will have access to the library at Seton Hall University for the duration of their course.
Virtual High School
Distance learning is an increasingly viable alternative to more traditional learning environments,
and we at Roselle Catholic are committed to offering online classes as a way to expand, augment
and personalize our curriculum.
Through our affiliation with “Virtual High School,” an accredited, non-profit consortium of
schools, we are able to offer over 200 full semester online courses to students enrolled in the
program.
Junior and Senior students at Roselle Catholic may apply to take electives through "Virtual High
School" and have enrolled in classes such as Screenwriting, Zoology, Economics, Statistics,
Astronomy and Art History, to name but a few.
